Jiufen Old Street (a better look)

We decided that we loved what we saw on our initial visit so much that we decided to come back for a more thorough exploration; I’m so glad we did!

This temple is just so gorgeous. This time we heard thunderous drumming and chanting coming from below and decided to check it out.

This was the first temple I have ever come across that had animal offerings. I’m not really sure why.

This shop will custom make you a pair of shows while you wait.

There were definitely a lot of trinket shops.

Of course, there was more food! And it was squid (I may have a problem).

The city is built up in the mountainous hillside with some lovely views once you start moving up and down the stairways.

When it got too hot there was a guava haven waiting for me.

There was also an amazing view and delicious dumplings waiting at the end of our journey.
